Whoaaa.. it's been 5 months since the last time i wrote for this blog. So anyways, i got a new job and it's been almost a month now, working for this new online shop website called iPasaraya. Hope i can survive or maybe even build my own online shop too, who knows rite? Right now i've been addicted to Polyvore where i could mix and matching clothes, create sets etc so i will publish some of my sets in my blog. This one is called Vampire Weekend because I bought their first anticipated self-titled album and I just couldn't stop dancing to the song "Mansard Roof".

Wheeeeeeeww.. had a great time on last Sunday @ hard rock cafe. We saw this crazy live performance (i mean it. it was brutal!) from an Aussie punk/rock/hardcore band called Young and Restless. Karina, the frontwoman wasn't afraid to throw herself to the crowd. I mean, for a girl, do a stage diving and not to mention all the wild screaming that came out from her mouth? I'm speechless now because it's hard to explain. Shite. They're uh-may-zinggg, incredibly talented and frikkin' wild. Then we went to the backstage (hahaaa... we weren't trying to be groupies, but Karina is actually a long time friend of Anti). So, she introduced me to Karina, then Karina introduced us to her band mates, and aaaawwwwww... such a nice and warm people. i'm not kidding.

I've always love taking crazy photos, so we did couples and none of them are pretty. of course. hahaha.. i dont drink at all, but apparently did act like am wasted. Also, Anti wouldn't let me to sip her beer. xD While listening to i-dont-know-if-this-is-housemusic-or-electronic, we did this robotic style and some silly moves that you wouldn't even want to look at. lols. I don't know why, i just miss the moments where i can go out and having fun with my friends like this. After three months working with a bunch of overtimes, i think i do deserve this. Yeah..

So i chose not to be a copywriter. It's not a one night decision though.. But i've been thinkin' about it. In the end, i have to choose between what i want and what i'm doing now. What we're doing now isn't exactly our last destination. So, think twice before you're sinking too deep. Make your own choice, follow your heart before you're trapped in activities you don't even passionate about. This is just the beginning of something new, folks!

What i've been wanted for so long is to work in magazine, whether it's music or fashion magazine. Could be both. I'm in love with those two.. Imagine if you get the chance to meet your favorite band, interviewing them, or even be friends with them? That's what i've been dreaming of. And what about if your editor-in-chief fly you to Paris or Milan, go to a fashion show and meet some amazing supermodels like Agyness Deyn, Irina Lazareanu, or Freja Beha? Wheeeee... i'm allowed to dream, right?! My heart's racing, i know that time will come. And i am proud, yeah.

These photos were taken on Wednesday, April 2nd. We had a commercial shoot for Enduro oil. This is my second time, but i didn't finish to see the whole shoot. I was overslept on the couch. My eyes were really heavy that night. It's because i had to work overtime on the night before. So, the conclusion is: was i happy? not really, though... tired? hell, yes! x)

Shooting Day Was Fun, Though...

On last Saturday, i woke up at 5.30 am. It was my first time ever to see a commercial shoot for Geliga muscle cream. Lotsa food, lotsa snacks, drinks, fruits, and blah.. blah..blah. It was fun to see all the scenes were being shot from one frame to another. The director made me and my friend, Ririe laugh with his accent (he was trying to be a rapper, i think?!). And there’s this guy who impressed me with his DOP charm. My..oh my.. don’t wanna talk about him any further. Guess he’s taken anyway. Haha… then I went to coffee bross @ kemang with Anti to meet me folks (Andri, Marcel, and Ingrid) there. Wheeeee… I missed them very much. We took some crazy photos (tried to look like a band, but failed). And finally went home at 2 o’clock in the morning. Felt real tired but I just couldn’t keep the smile off my face while I’m sleeping. I had a great experience with great friends in a great day.

Never knew that working in advertising could be this exhausting, hectic and crazy. Or.. can i say, such a pain in the ass. haha... So we often work overtimes, all night at the office. When normal people go to sleep, we're still.. yes.. try to focus with our work, and be friends (i mean, best friends!) with the computer. No wonder if some people said that advertising has no times, or on the day when i first joined to this local agency, the art director was like: "Rindi, welcome to hell" or "welcome to the jungle". Sigh! Well, well, well.. pleased to meet you, love.

Hey guys, how is it goin'? This is Rindi, 18 year old girl from Jakarta, Indonesia (please don't say "UuRgh" when i say Indonesia. I'm cool though.. Hehe). By the way, i've been a fan of your band since i listened to Highly Evolved. I thought that it was the most rockin' album!! All the songs, from Highly Evolved to 1969, God!!! I just love it!! I love how the guitar sounds, the drums, everything!! You rock!! And congrats for the Winning Days album. I couldn't resist to buy the album, bcoz i just got curious when i first saw the video, Ride. I was like "whoa.. The Vines are back." The video was really great, too.. So, am i right that in your new album, you guys are a bit mature? Bcoz i think that the music are get sharpen like TV Pro, Evil Town and Amnesia (i heard from it's distortion.. hehe) By the way, when will you guys have the Asian Tour? Because you have lots of fans are waiting for you guys here in Indonesia. And, because I never see you on a live performance beside on TV hehe.. Ow, last thing!! After we read it, maybe it sounded silly yet corny. How i was so desperately obsessed by them. Ha... But it actually made me realize that I really do enjoy writing. Whether it’s about my experience or a simple writing such as fan letter. Once, I’ve wrote about The Strokes (lost it!), and another fan letter for Josh Hartnett (he didn’t reply it), but that won’t stop me to write, write, and write. Writing is simply to show how I feel about something. It’s about my thoughts, opinion, and feedback from what I’ve seen, heard, smell, touched, or even tasted. And maybe from now I will pursue my career as a writer. Music, fashion, and entertainment writer to be exact. So let’s start writing on another empty paper. Magazines, here I come.. :)

Finally.... What?

So i just made myself a blog. But uhh.. where was i when blogs became a phenomenon back then? Right, on Friendster and MySpace. Being hypnotized with all the coolness and narcissism i got there. teenagers. haha.. I do realize when i wrote something, it never finished or maybe i didn't have the time to post it somewhere. Then i thought.. it is ok to have some unfinished writings. There is a media called Blog. I can put anything there, write anything, even my unfinished writings. Post a couple of photos there, and voila! My life will become.. well.. a little interesting. And for the past two and a half months now i've been having this responsibility as a jr. copywriter in a local advertising agency. So why don't i exercise my skill by writing some simple things in my blog first? Surely it is to improve my vocabulary too. Cliche, i know.. well.. my blog will be full of some stupid lame stories, the pursue of my career, the journey to reach my goal. It'll be fun i hope. So let's start here.....
